Are you in business? Are you wondering how to increase sales? Are you wondering how to improve your marketing?
These are questions we all face when running a business. How can I make my business more successful? The first thing anyone should do is get in touch with your existing clients. Find out if they are aware of all of your services. Make sure they know what you offer as a business. There may be a product or service you have that they are not aware of. Make sure they know your full range. It is much easier to sell to a client who knows you than it is to cold call someone who has never worked with you before.
Are you presenting your business well across your marketing material. Will anyone seeing your website or sales brochure know immediately what your business offers? Will they be enticed enough by your offering to get in touch with you to discuss?
It is vital that you present yourself and your branding in a strong way. Maintain brand strength across all of your marketing collateral. Keep everything consistent to hammer the same message home to everyone who comes into contact with your business sales and marketing material.
If your website or sales material do not get your products and services across well – change them. This is crucial to your ability to sell your business and your brand and encourage buyers to see your brand as strong and reliable.
Check all copy for typos. There is nothing more amateurish to a customer than spotting a typo. It smacks of laziness and is very unprofessional. If you can’t be bothered to read your own copy why should they? And if there are typos someone hasn’t been bothered to check the copy. Does that mean you don’t check your products and services also? To the customer it does so read all copy thoroughly before letting customers see it.
Once you have your copy finished to a high standard, your website and sales brochures designed to sell to your target market, you are ready to approach new customers. Start locally and make sure people are aware of your business and what you offer. Send, or leave, them a brochure and ask them to take a look at your website. Don’t be too pushy – if they are interested they will look.
Then give it a few days and contact them again politely asking if they had a chance to look at your website. Try and build up a relationship for the future.
